Legendary musician John Fogerty, former frontman of Creedence Clearwater Revival, has shared his preferences for amplifiers over effects pedals. In a recent interview, he revealed his love for Kustom amps and their compatibility with his Rickenbacker guitar.

Fogerty, an avid amp enthusiast, favours Kustom amps for their natural sound. He believes they complement his Rickenbacker guitar perfectly, creating a sound that suits his playing style. In his Creedence Clearwater Revival days, Fogerty used the Kustom K200A-4 amp, which he praises as the best-sounding solid-state amp ever made.

Despite his initial reservations about using pedals, comparing them to a 'communist idea' in a 2023 interview, Fogerty acknowledges that the Kustom K200A-4 amp came with four built-in effects. However, he never used these effects, preferring the amp's natural sound.
