IWC rejuvenates the Ingenieur line with a complex perpetual calendar addition and a cinematic association.
IWC Schaffhausen has unveiled a collection of new Ingenieur watches at this year's Watches & Wonders show, showcasing a range of styles and features to cater to various preferences.
The Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar
The Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar is the headlining new release from IWC. Housed in a 41.6mm stainless steel case, this timepiece features a radiant blue dial and an integrated stainless steel bracelet. The perpetual calendar module, developed by Kurt Klaus in 1985, is a legendary, ingeniously designed perpetual calendar mechanism. This module automatically accounts for varying month lengths and leap years without manual adjustment, making it a technical milestone for IWC. The Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar combines this complex calendar functionality with a robust sports watch design, demonstrating both technical innovation and versatility in watchmaking.
The Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar is powered by the in-house Calibre 82600 automatic movement and boasts a power reserve of 60 hours. The perpetual calendar module won't need to be corrected until the year 2100.
The Ingenieur Automatic
The Ingenieur Automatic is available in various sizes and materials. The 42mm black ceramic model features a monochromatic look with black zirconium oxide ceramic material. The 40mm stainless steel version, on the other hand, is powered by the IWC Caliber 32111 automatic.
For those seeking a more compact option, the Ingenieur Automatic is also available in a 35mm stainless steel case. This model has a water resistance of 100m and is powered by the IWC Caliber 82110 automatic. The 18k gold Ingenieur Automatic features a contrast between light and dark, with a matching integrated bracelet in the case material.
Special Editions
IWC has also released special editions of the Ingenieur Automatic. The limited-edition green-dialed automatic model, available in a stainless steel case, is a tribute to the upcoming F1 movie and features a radiant olive green dial, gold hour markers, and handset. This model is limited to 1,000 pieces and is priced at $12,900.

The Ingenieur watches are available now from IWC, with prices ranging from $9,950 for the 35mm steel model to $46,600 for the 40mm gold model. The Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar is priced at $12,900 for the 40mm case, while the green-dialed automatic model is also priced at $12,900.
