In my experience, the Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) has been a significant device in my portable gadgetry for more than a month. This unfolding smartphone demonstrates the continued underappreciation for flip-style phones. Here's what makes it stand out.

I've gotta say, I'm sick of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. I've been rocking the Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) for a while now and it's the better damn phone!

It's a pity that Samsung keeps pushing these ultra-thin phones onto us, but the Razr Ultra (2025) still proves how flip phones are the real MVP. Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Fold Ultra seems to follow suit, with its book-style foldable construction.

After living with the Razr Ultra for a month, I'm here to tell you: flip-style phones ain't just a gimmick. I've been less excited about other thin phones, like Apple's iPhone 17 Air.

One-handed use feels like a breeze

Let's face it: the Galaxy S25 Edge is hard to handle. Despite its ultra-thin design, it's still a beast to manage, especially with the 6.7-inch AMOLED display[1]. Not so with the Razr Ultra (2025). Motorola's clamshell design makes it a breeze to handle, and the 4-inch outer screen means I can reach everything I need without strain[1].

Battery life better than the competition

The Galaxy S25 Edge is hamstrung by its thin construction. To achieve that sleek look, it's packed with a smaller 3,900 mAh battery[2]. That pales in comparison to the Galaxy S25 Ultra's powerful 5,000 mAh battery. Not so with the Razr Ultra (2025). It packs a whopping 4,700 mAh battery and records an outstanding 15 hours and 42 minutes in Tom's Guide's battery benchmark test[3].

Flip-style phones: the smart choice

People might scoff at the Razr Ultra's slim profile, but its thinness is practical and nothing to laugh at. At 0.28 inches, it's just about as thin as the Galaxy S25 Edge. Yes, you can pack more phones into a lineup with the Galaxy S25 Edge, but there's something to be said for the no-nonsense design of the Razr Ultra.

So, there you have it. The Razr Ultra (2025) is the best damn foldable phone on the market!

Enrichment Data:1. Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) uses a clamshell design, folding down to a surprisingly thin profile—about 0.28 inches—making it exceptionally pocketable and easy to handle one-handed. The device is remarkably lightweight at 7.02 ounces, and when folded, it is compact, allowing for comfortable use with a single hand, especially when answering quick calls or using the external 4-inch display for basic tasks[1].2. The Galaxy S25 Edge features a battery capacity of 3,900 mAh, but this pales in comparison to the Galaxy S25 Ultra's powerful 5,000 mAh battery[2].3. The Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) boasts a 4,700 mAh battery, which is the largest tested in any foldable phone to date[3]. In Tom's Guide's battery benchmark test, it records a time of 15 hours and 42 minutes.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge boasts a smaller 3,900 mAh battery, the Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) outperforms with a larger 4,700 mAh battery, offering longer battery life compared to other gadgets like the Samsung Galaxy Fold Ultra and Apple's iPhone 17 Air. In one-handed use, the Razr Ultra (2025) is more practical due to its clamshell design, making it easier to handle compared to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge with its larger 6.7-inch AMOLED display.
