Installing Batteries - Role of a Field Service Technician I

The job involves installing, maintaining, and removing industrial battery systems, including lead-acid, lithium-ion, and other energy storage technologies. As a Battery Installation Technician, you will be responsible for assembling battery strings, routing cabling, and torqueing connections.
Safety is a top priority, and the job offers top-tier Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety training, and tools to ensure a secure work environment. You will also be required to follow safety protocols, including OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety protocols.
The role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. You will work in various industries, including data centers, industrial facilities, and mechanical/electrical rooms, and will need to troubleshoot basic electrical or battery-related issues during installation.

The job involves site cleanup and proper disposal or recycling of removed batteries. You will also work with high-voltage equipment and heavy materials, and will need to perform battery testing, capacity tests, voltage readings, and thermal checks.
