Indian agritech startup Eeki, specialising in aeroponic innovation, has secured significant funding. The latest round was led by Sustainable India Finance Facility (SIFF) and Aavishkaar Capital, with Sixt Sense Ventures also contributing. This brings Eeki's total funding to over $10 million in the last year.
Eeki's innovative approach focuses on growing vegetables in controlled environments using aeroponics. Its Gen 3 Growing Chambers ensure consistent, clean, and nutritious produce regardless of seasons or soil conditions. The startup aims to expand its sustainable farming footprint and accelerate technological advancements with the new funding.
Eeki's team is dedicated to improving core technology, with 30% focused on maximising yield while minimising resources. Nikhil Vora, Founder and CEO of Sixt Sense Ventures, praises Eeki's model for its proven cost efficiency and global scalability potential, even in India's challenging conditions.
Eeki is addressing food security by tackling multiple variables simultaneously. It grows pesticide-free staple vegetables year-round on barren land, achieving ten times the yield with just 10% of the water typically required. The startup's patented growing chambers, advanced plant science, and automation enable it to deliver efficiency at competitive prices.
With the latest $7 million funding led by Sixt Sense Ventures, Eeki is poised for nationwide scale-up. The startup's innovative approach to farming, addressing food security and sustainability, has garnered significant investor interest, with over $10 million raised in the last year alone.
