Gallagher Unveils High Sec C7000 Controller for Enhanced Security and Cyber Protection

Gallagher Security, a leading provider of integrated security solutions, has announced the release of the High Sec Controller 7000 (High Sec C7000), the latest addition to its award-winning controller product range. The High Sec C7000 is designed with a focus on cybersecurity, offering high-assurance physical access control and advanced cyber protection for highly secure environments.

The High Sec C7000 meets Class 5 standards, which are required for high-security customers in Australia and New Zealand, including government, defense, prisons, and data centers. It incorporates all the core functions of the C7000 Standard variant, while expanding them in key areas to deliver enhanced reliability, resilience, redundancy, and cybersecurity.

The High Sec C7000 is built with FIPS compliant components and is FIPS approved and PIV-ready on release. This compliance ensures that the controller meets the stringent security requirements of the U.S. Federal Government. The High Sec C7000 is also designed with a focus on meeting the highest standards of countries in the Five Eyes Alliance.

The High Sec C7000 offers future-proof architecture, supporting flexible integrations and upgrades. It ensures predefined responses to monitored events, site safety, and continuity. The controller also provides end users with industry-leading protection against attacks on firmware in the supply chain.

The C7000 product range, of which the High Sec C7000 is a part, are IP based controllers that can manage all localised access control, intruder alarms, perimeter security, business automation, and logic needs for an organisation. The C7000 product range can operate independently from the Command Centre server, offering increased flexibility and autonomy.

Jim Rayner, Gallagher Security Product Manager, led production on the High Sec C7000. He stated that it goes a step further in cybersecurity for high-security government and commercial applications. According to Rayner, there is an increasing demand for large users who need solutions that are certified to be used on critical national infrastructure, not just government sites, but also commercial enterprises seeking to mitigate risk for business continuity.

The release of the High Sec C7000 expands Gallagher's Controller 7000 product range to a total of four, including the C7000 Single Door, C7000 Standard, C7000 Enhanced variants. The High Sec C7000 is currently undergoing compliance testing for CAPSS and AACS from the UK's National Protective Security Authority (NPSA), and FIPS 201.
