Hamburg Launches 'Gewerbe-Klima vor Ort' to Save Businesses 15% Energy
Hamburg is launching a comprehensive energy-saving initiative, 'Gewerbe-Klima vor Ort', to help businesses reduce their energy consumption and costs. The campaign, supported by the city, chambers, and environmental organizations, kicks off with a series of 21 webinars starting January 9, 2023.
The initiative, 'Energiespar-Umwertung Jetzt!', aims to save around 15 percent of energy citywide. It offers practical workshops, informational sessions, and demonstrations on energy-saving technologies and sustainable living practices. Dr. Melanie Leonhard, Hamburg's Senator for Economics and Innovation, emphasizes the significant cost burden of unnecessary energy consumption on companies.
The webinar series targets Hamburg-based businesses in the manufacturing and related industries. It provides concrete measures such as photovoltaic systems and team motivation strategies. The first webinar starts on January 9, 2023, with 20 more to follow, offering practical tips on energy efficiency.
Companies in Hamburg can now access an overview of various consulting and funding offers, including support from the Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank (IFB). The 'Gewerbe-Klima vor Ort' initiative and 'Energiespar-Umwertung Jetzt!' event series aim to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) save energy and reduce costs, contributing to a more sustainable and economically viable future for the city.
