Google's Veo 3 Brings AI-Powered Video Generation to All

Google has expanded its AI video generation capabilities with the public preview release of Veo 3 on Vertex AI and Canva. The tool, announced at I/O 2025, creates realistic videos from simple text prompts, complete with synchronized audio.

Veo 3, now available to all Google Cloud customers and partners, generates videos with native audio integration. This includes synchronized dialogue, ambient sounds, and background music, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

The tool is also accessible on Canva, the popular graphic design platform. However, a pre-existing Canva subscription is required, costing Rs 4,000 annually or Rs 500 monthly. Canva users can generate up to 5 videos per month using Veo 3, with each clip limited to 8 seconds in length and a horizontal HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels.

The public preview release of Veo 3 on Vertex AI occurred on July 22, 2025. This move signals tech giants' increasing focus on video generation, building on the success of AI image generation.

With Veo 3, Google and Canva are democratizing video creation, making it easier for users to generate realistic content from simple text prompts. The tool's potential is vast, from marketing videos to educational content, and its impact on various industries is expected to be significant.
