**Gmail Introduces Manage Subscriptions Feature for Easier Email Management**

Gmail has rolled out a new feature aimed at simplifying the process of managing email subscriptions and reducing clutter in inboxes. The **Manage Subscriptions** feature consolidates all active subscription emails in one place, providing users with more control over their email habits.

The feature is accessible via the navigation bar in Gmail, under a tab named "Manage subscriptions" or by selecting it from the "More" menu. It presents a one-stop dashboard that lists active subscriptions, sorted by how often they email. Each subscription in the dashboard has a one-click unsubscribe button next to it, allowing users to opt out of unwanted emails with a single click.

Before unsubscribing, users can view past emails from each sender to decide if they want to continue receiving them. This feature does not automate the unsubscription process; instead, it provides visibility and control.

The new Manage Subscriptions feature is currently available on the web and is rolling out to mobile devices in stages. The feature for Android will be released on July 14th, and for iOS devices starting from July 21st. The availability of the feature may vary by country.

Gmail's director, Chris Doan, described the problem of promotional emails, alerts, and digests piling up as a common issue that this tool addresses. Unlike rival services like Outlook, Gmail's Manage subscriptions feature offers a more hands-on approach, allowing users to clean house without the usual hassle.

The feature is initially available on personal Gmail accounts, with plans to extend it to most Google Workspace users in the future. This tool is set to revolutionise the way users manage their emails, making it less overwhelming and more efficient.

This new feature in Gmail, named Manage Subscriptions, consolidates all active subscription emails in one place, providing users with control over their inbox by presenting a one-stop dashboard that lists active subscriptions, sorted by how often they email. Users can view smartphones and other gadgets on this dashboard, each with a one-click unsubscribe button next to it, allowing for easier technology-driven unsubscriptions.
