G42 & NVIDIA Team Up for Advanced Climate Tech Lab in Abu Dhabi

G42 and NVIDIA have joined forces to establish a new operational base and Climate Tech Lab in Abu Dhabi. This collaboration aims to deliver innovative clima solutions, combining scientific accuracy with real-world applicability.

Leading the initiative is Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42. Xiao, a Chinese executive and former head of Emirati cybersecurity company DarkMatter Group, is known for his work in AI development. He is also a board member at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, participating in advanced AI and clima technology projects with NVIDIA.

The partnership aims to enhance global weather forecasting accuracy using AI. Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, expects this collaboration to predict clima phenomena with unprecedented precision. NVIDIA's Earth-2 platform will be employed to accelerate these predictions. The lab will utilise over 100 petabytes of geophysical data assets to create tailored clima and weather solutions. Additionally, the initiative will focus on building a framework for integrating enhanced weather prediction with data metrics and visualisation. The partnership will initially concentrate on a square-kilometre resolution weather forecasting model.

G42 and NVIDIA's partnership seeks to advance clima technology, with a new operational base and Climate Tech Lab in Abu Dhabi. By combining scientific accuracy with real-world applicability, the collaboration aims to deliver innovative clima solutions, initially focusing on enhancing weather forecasting accuracy globally.
