Forward-thinking endeavor "Innovation for Tomorrow" located in Rhine-District Neuss
In July and August 2025, the zdi-network Rhein-Kreis Neuss will host a series of workshops under the MINT-MACHEN.DE banner, focusing on practically oriented learning in mathematics, informatics, natural sciences, and technology (MINT).
The four-day "Steer the Future: Discover Modern Technology at Covestro" workshop, scheduled from July 14 to 18, will immERse students in the captivating world of electronics and mechanics at Covestro Deutschland AG. Part of the experience will include a day-in-the-life glimpse of a worker at the Chempark Dormagen.
The online "Tech Basics: Your Introduction to Hardware, Software, and Digital Tools" course, running from July 14 to 18, offers a comprehensive five-day, 2.5-hour session in cooperation with the Technology Center Glehn. This course covers the fundamentals of the digital world, providing tips on file organization and safe navigation within the digital environment.
The "Design the Future - Improve the World with Technology" three-day course, taking place from July 22 to 24 at the Kreismedienzentrum in Neuss-Holzheim, aims to empower young people to develop solutions for global challenges. This workshop will intertwine the topics of technology and sustainability.
The "Programming with Python" three-day online course, slated for August 18 to 20, will introduce participants to the fundamentals of the Python programming language, enabling them to write their first programs by the end of the week.
Set for August 22, the one-day "Wissen, wie der Wind weht" (Knowing How the Wind Blows) seminar caters to students in grade 9 and above, offering practical insights into the technical and physical fundamentals of wind energy. The seminar includes a visit to a test field for modern wind turbines and a tour of the tower base of a multi-megawatt wind power installation.
