Fold Launches First Bitcoin-Only Rewards Credit Card
Fold, a fintech company, has launched the first bitcoin-only rewards credit card in collaboration with Stripe and Visa. This card, targeted at mainstream users, offers a simple way to earn Bitcoin on everyday purchases without the need for crypto trading knowledge.
The Fold Bitcoin Credit Card provides users with 2% back in Bitcoin on every purchase made at major retailers like Amazon, Target, Starbucks, Uber, and Home Depot. This instant reward is part of Fold's mission to onboard mainstream users into the world of Bitcoin without intimidation.
Led by CEO Will Reeves, Fold has already processed over $3.1 billion in transactions and paid out over $83 million in Bitcoin to customers since its launch. The new credit card builds on Fold's existing offerings, which have attracted users curious about crypto but hesitant to engage with trading sites.
The card stands out with its single asset focus, live rewards, no loyalty levels, and no conversion costs. Users can further boost their rewards to up to 3.5% by using a Fold Checking Account to pay off purchases. This integration eliminates the need for users to create exchange accounts, manage reward categories, or invest tokens.
Fold's new credit card introduces a powerful, debt-free layer of mainstream Bitcoin integration. It offers users a seamless way to earn Bitcoin on everyday purchases, making it an attractive option for those looking to dip their toes into the world of crypto without the complexity of trading sites.
