The Chinese mobile devices maker, Vivo, has entered the mid-premium smartphone segment with the launch of its latest offering, the Vivo V60. The device, launched by Vivo India, promises a premium display, robust performance, and a versatile and advanced camera system with Zeiss optics.

The Vivo V60 features a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth and vibrant visuals. The device's design varies slightly by colour, with weights ranging from 192g to 201g and thicknesses between 7.65mm and 7.75mm.

Under the hood, the Vivo V60 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, built on a 4nm architecture. It comes with up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, ensuring smooth operation and ample space for users. The device runs on Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15, with Vivo promising four major Android updates and six years of security patches.

On the camera front, the Vivo V60 boasts a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX766 with optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, the device includes a 50MP front camera, with both front and rear cameras supporting 4K video recording.

The battery capacity of the Vivo V60 is a substantial 6,500mAh, supporting 90W wired fast charging for rapid recharge. The device also boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance and includes an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.

Additional notable features include a suite of AI tools like AI Image Expander, AI Smart Call Assistant, AI Captions, and AI-powered spam call blocking, enhancing user experience in photography and communication.

Geetaj Channana, head of corporate strategy at Vivo India, stated that the Vivo V60 builds on the success of the V50 and pushes boundaries in terms of design, portrait imaging, and intuitive intelligence. The Vivo V60 smartphones will be available for purchase from August 19 onwards.

The Vivo V60 is priced in the range of ₹36,999 to ₹45,999 and will be sold on the official website, Flipkart, Amazon, and all partner retail stores. With its premium display, robust performance, advanced camera system, long battery life, and durability features, the Vivo V60 is a strong contender in the mid-premium smartphone segment in India.
