Eligible Cybertruck owners receive complimentary one-year access to Full Self-Driving capabilities from Tesla.
Tesla is rolling out a unique offer to some Cybertruck owners: a free one-year trial of its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software. This new version of Tesla's Full Self-Driving software is not yet available to the general public.
The offer follows the vehicle's navigation route during operation, handling most driving tasks, including lane changes, turns, and navigating complex roads. However, it's important to note that the system requires driver attention at all times and is not fully autonomous.
The one-year trial period, worth $1,200 USD (the normal cost of Full Self-Driving is $99 per month), could potentially convert long-time free trial users into paying customers. While there's no definitive information suggesting that the offer was made as compensation for cancelling the Cybertruck Range Extender accessory, it's possible that the extended FSD trial provides Tesla with valuable data from testers.
Emails about the offer have been shared online by Cybertruck owners, suggesting that the rollout is gradual. The emails remind users that they must remain fully alert and ready to take over at any moment while using the FSD (Supervised) system.
The Cybertruck comes with other incentives, such as 0% APR financing with FSD purchase, free 1-year Supercharging for inventory orders, and a free 20-inch Cyber Wheel Upgrade for lease orders.
