Elevated Materials Welcomes Battery Pioneer Dr. Soonho Ahn to Board
Elevated Materials, a TPG Rise Climate portfolio company, has appointed Dr. Soonho Ahn to its Board of Directors. Dr. Ahn, a globally respected authority in battery science and engineering, brings over three decades of experience to the role.
Dr. Ahn has held executive roles at prominent companies like PowerCo, Apple, Samsung SDI, and LG Chem. His work has significantly contributed to technologies powering electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and grid storage. Notably, he has commercialized key industry innovations such as magnetically oriented graphite anodes and NMC cathodes.
Most recently, Dr. Ahn served as CTO and a member of the board at Daimler AG. Elevated Materials' CEO, Jim Cushing, expressed excitement about Dr. Ahn's appointment and the expertise he brings to the company.
