Munich-based manufacturer Govecs has re-emerged with an updated eSchwalbe, sporting a top speed of 90 km/h! The new eSchwalbe 90 embodies numerous technological advancements in its revamped L3e variant.

The modernized engine delivers a powerful 6 kW nominal output and a whopping 8.5 kW peak power. For further convenience, charging can also occur via a Type-2 connector or household socket.

Real road prowess: 90 to 100 km of range

Thanks to improved efficiency and adaptive regenaration control, the standard range is impressively extended to 129 kilometers. In real-world scenarios, anticipate cruising comfortably for 90 to 100 kilometers. The strategic relocation of the batteries also provides a handy 5-liter storage compartment beneath the seat.

Additional notable features of the 136-kg eSchwalbe 90 include a hydraulic combined braking system, cutting-edge LED lighting, and a 5-inch color TFT display. The clever app connectivity allows users to seamlessly sync their smartphones, while the integrated IoT telematics records trips for sharing with friends. An NFC card ensures a keyless ignition experience.

The eSchwalbe is now available for an "early bird" price of €8,990. Its regular list price (RRP) is set at a reasonable €10,000.

The eSchwalbe, the electric reincarnation of the iconic roller model Schwalbe (or Simson Schwalbe, produced between 1964 and 1986), has been on the market since 2017. According to Govecs' website, it is produced in Wroclaw, Poland, with all drive components and the steel frame sourced from European manufacturers.
