In a groundbreaking achievement, Lucid Motors has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest distance traveled by an electric vehicle (EV) on a single charge. The record-breaking journey was completed by Umit Sabanci, a London-based entrepreneur, in a production-spec Lucid Air Grand Touring sedan.
The Lucid Air Grand Touring covered an impressive distance of 1,205 kilometers (approximately 749 miles) without stopping to recharge, surpassing the previous record of 1,045 kilometers (649 miles) held by the Mercedes-Benz EQS450+[1]. The drive took place between St. Moritz, Switzerland, and Munich, Germany, over a mix of alpine roads, highways, and secondary roads[1][4].
The record-breaking drive, which lasted around 20 hours and 26 minutes, underscores the capability of Lucid's electric powertrain.
