Electric travel trailer manufacturer Lightship commences production of its AE.1 model equipped with propulsion assistance, presenting two fresh designs.
Electric recreational vehicle manufacturer Lightship has expanded its product line with the introduction of two new models, the AE.1 Atmos and AE.1 Panos. Both trailers are engineered to cater to various types of explorers, with the AE.1 Atmos positioned as a flagship model and the AE.1 Panos as an entry-level option.
The AE.1 Atmos: A Flagship TrekDrive Camper
The AE.1 Atmos is a 77 kWh TrekDrive camper, boasting a more extensive solar power system and an array of luxury features. With a starting price of $184,000, this model offers a 1.8 kW integrated solar roof panel system, making it ideal for extended off-grid expeditions.
The AE.1 Atmos features a fully equipped kitchen, a full-width rear bathroom, a modular door for seamless access, a convertible lounge bed area, and polycarbonate curved panoramic windows that are shatter-proof. It also comes with an auto-raising roof structure, auto-leveling and stabilizing system, and a smart and roomy bathroom.
Customization options for the AE.1 Atmos include a motorized awning, extra beds, storage bags, and bedding.
The AE.1 Panos: An Affordable, Entry-Level Option
The AE.1 Panos is designed for those planning weekend getaways or shorter off-grid expeditions. With a starting price of $151,000, this model offers a 44 kWh battery system and 840 W of integrated solar roof panels.
The AE.1 Panos comes equipped with a kitchen and bathroom, although it features fewer luxury options compared to the AE.1 Atmos. Customization options for the AE.1 Panos are similar to those available for the AE.1 Atmos.
The TrekDrive System: Intelligent Propulsion Technology
Both the AE.1 Atmos and AE.1 Panos are powered by Lightship's proprietary TrekDrive system. This intelligent propulsion technology is designed to double the range of electric vehicles or improve the fuel efficiency of internal combustion engines. The TrekDrive system senses acceleration, braking, and cornering forces, then adjusts in real time, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey.
Customer Deliveries and Availability
Customer deliveries for both the AE.1 Atmos and AE.1 Panos will begin in 2026. The AE.1 Cosmos Edition, which is officially sold out, will begin deliveries by the end of summer 2025.
