Drone Intrusion Halts Brønnøysund Airport Operations
Brønnøysund Airport in Norway temporarily halted operations on September 30 due to an unexpected drone intrusion. Despite the incident, the last scheduled flight managed to land safely.
Airport staff noticed the drone around 9:50 p.m. They immediately suspended operations to ensure safety. Police were called in to search for the drone's pilot but unfortunately, they were unable to locate them. The airport remained closed for the night. The following morning, after a thorough check, operations resumed as normal.
The identity of the drone pilot remains unknown. Brønnøysund Airport has since returned to its regular schedule, with no further disruptions reported.
