Deutz Acquires Sobek, DN Solutions Gets Heller as Law Firms Facilitate Tech Deals
Taylor Wessing has guided Deutz AG through the full acquisition of Sobek Group GmbH, a specialist in electric drive systems for drones. Meanwhile, DN Solutions, advised by Gleiss Lutz, is set to acquire 100% of Heller Group's shares, securing its world-leading machine tool technology. Gorg advised Schuetz GmbH & Co. KGaA on the acquisition of EC Group, a leading composite materials manufacturer.
Sobek, under the guidance of Olaf Hahn, expects revenues in the low to mid double-digit million euro range by 2025, with an EBITA margin of approximately 10 to 12 million euros. Deutz, an international specialist in engines and drive systems, is acquiring all of Sobek's shares from Hahn.
DN Solutions, a South Korean machinery company, is acquiring Heller Group, with Gleiss Lutz acting as its legal advisor. The acquisition will grant DN Solutions access to Heller's world-leading machine tool technology. Kim & Chang also advised DN Solutions during this process.
In another deal, Goodwin advised Paragon Partners on the refinancing of the acquisition of Schell GmbH & Co. KG, an international specialist in valves and digital water quality solutions.
These acquisitions reflect the strategic expansion of Deutz, DN Solutions, and Schuetz GmbH & Co. KGaA into cutting-edge technologies and markets. The deals were facilitated by prominent law firms, including Taylor Wessing, Gleiss Lutz, Gorg, and Goodwin.
