Debuts Hot Wheels' Ferrari Collaboration: A Traditional-Meets-Modern Collection

In an exciting development for automotive enthusiasts, Hot Wheels and Ferrari have joined forces for a multi-year collaborative effort, marking their first team-up in over a decade. This partnership promises a series of new collectible expansions and limited editions, with the first release being the Heritage Set.

The Heritage Set, now available, includes miniature versions of two iconic Ferraris: the 1970 312 P and the 499P Modificata. The 1970 312 P features a bright red Spectraflame coat, deep-dish Neo-Classics Redline wheels, racing number 25 on the doors and hood, and a clear window showing a deep red interior. The engine cover opens up for a realistic touch, while the black interior can be viewed through lightly smoke-tinted windows.

The Hot Wheels miniature version of the 312 P in the Heritage Set also boasts pinstripes across the top in the colour of the Italian flag. In a nod to Ferrari's modern-day achievements, the Heritage Set also includes the modern-day 499P Modificata, which is a 2024 track-only hypercar from Ferrari. This miniature version features 10-spoke Real Riders wheels and carries the racing number 24 on the hood and sides.

For those seeking even more realistic replicas, Hot Wheels will be releasing the miniature versions of the F40 Competizione, 365 GTB4 Competizione, and SF90 Stradale later this year. Each of these models will retail for $1.25. For those who want a more interactive experience, a remote-controlled version of the SF90 Stradale will be released in June for $20.

In addition to these releases, Hot Wheels has also announced plans for premium models, including collectible-grade versions of the LaFerrari, F50, and 250 GTO. These models will feature more refined detailing and will retail for as high as $20.

While specific 2021 models and prices are not yet detailed, the partnership between Hot Wheels and Ferrari is set to continue with the release of a premium 1/64 scale Ferrari LaFerrari, slated for release around 2025. Preorders for this model are expected to open in mid-2025.

For those eager to get their hands on these miniature masterpieces, checking recent Hot Wheels collector sites or official Mattel announcements is advisable for the most accurate and complete info on exact 2021 Ferrari models and prices. These miniaturized versions not only serve as an extension of actual vehicles owned by enthusiasts, but also provide a more affordable way to collect some of the world's most iconic cars.
