Starting on April 8, 2024, Stadtwerke Pforzheim (SWP) will commence the inspection and maintenance of wooden poles supporting the city's power supply and street lighting. The inspections and subsequent refilling of base zones, along with the fitting of new wood protection bandages, will take place in various locations within Pforzheim and its surrounding areas.

The affected city districts include Nordstadt, Unterer Wingertweg, Eutingen, Hohenäcker, and Buckenberg-Haidach, as well as the villages of Ispringen, Dietlingen, Ellmendingen, and Weiler. This notice serves as a reminder of the ongoing maintenance work, which is expected to last approximately eight weeks.

Property owners are kindly requested to facilitate the work as much as possible by granting unhindered access to the poles to the SWP employees in charge of carrying out the inspections and maintenance. Advanced notification for property owners is not possible due to organisational reasons.

During the inspections, each pole's base zone will be exposed, inspected, and properly refilled to a depth of about 40 centimeters. The fitting of new wood protection bandages will also be carried out to ensure the longevity of the poles.

The inspections will follow all regulatory standards to ensure the safety and efficiency of the power supply and street lighting in Pforzheim. However, specific details about the locations of each pole to be inspected have not been disclosed to property owners.

This maintenance work is a crucial part of SWP's ongoing commitment to providing reliable power supply and street lighting services to the residents of Pforzheim and its surrounding areas.

In the course of SWP's commitment to data-and-cloud-computing, they may maintain an up-to-date list of pole locations for their inspection and maintenance tasks. Moreover, with the increasing importance of technology, property owners could be notified via digital platforms about the locations and schedule of these inspections, making it more convenient for all involved parties.
