CiTTi Awards 2024 Unveils Finalists for Innovative Transport Projects
The Citi Awards 2024 has revealed its finalists, showcasing innovative transport projects and initiatives across the UK and beyond. Among the nominees are Highland Council, Greater Cambridgeshire Partnership, London Borough of Camden, Medway Council, and Berlin, each recognised for their efforts in sustainable and smart transport solutions.
Highland Council, in collaboration with HITRANS and Stagecoach North Scotland, has been shortlisted for its work in Inverness. The council has launched the UK's first fully electric bus network and improved active travel infrastructure, demonstrating a commitment to cleaner and healthier transport.
The Greater Cambridgeshire Partnership is another finalist, nominated for its work on sustainable travel options and improving access along Milton Road. The partnership's efforts highlight the importance of accessible and sustainable transport for urban development.
London Borough of Camden is also a finalist, recognised for its Camden Transport Strategy. This visionary plan aims to transform transport and mobility in the borough by 2041, promoting a greener and more efficient future for its residents.
Medway Council and Project Centre have been shortlisted for the Healthier Streets Programme. This initiative seeks to enhance road safety, reduce congestion, and promote sustainable transport, benefiting both the environment and the community.
The Citi Awards 2024, set to take place on Tuesday, November 26, at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London, will gather over 200 transport professionals. The event includes a drinks reception, a three-course dinner, the trophy-giving presentation, and networking opportunities. Tickets can be purchased individually or in tables of 10. The ceremony will be hosted by Irish stand-up comedian Andrew Ryan.
