Job Description
As an IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure. Your duties will include managing and supporting Windows and Linux servers, network devices, and user workstations. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems, monitor system performance, ensure security, backup, and disaster recovery measures, administer user accounts, and provide support to end-users with IT-related issues.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have proven experience as an IT System Administrator or a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. You should possess strong knowledge of Windows Server and relevant Microsoft technologies, experience with Linux systems administration, familiarity with network configurations, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
Additionally, you should have the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently, a good understanding of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning, and knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware is a plus. You should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good communication skills in German and English, relevant IT certifications, a team-oriented attitude, and a willingness to take initiative.
