In a groundbreaking announcement, Campfire unveils its latest IEMs, promising more than just quality in-ear music experiences; they promise nothing less than the extraordinary.

Campfire Audio's latest in-ear monitors don't just deliver typical audio quality, they aim to offer an exceptional listening experience, possibly even surpassing expectations.

Introducing the Campfire Audio Grand Luna: A New Standard in High-End Audio

Campfire Audio, a renowned name in the world of audio, has unveiled its latest offering – the Grand Luna earphones. These high-end in-ear monitors (IEMs) are set to redefine the boundaries of sound quality and versatility.

The Grand Luna earphones boast an innovative driver configuration, featuring a next-generation 14mm planar magnetic driver for low and mid frequencies, and two high-frequency balanced armature drivers. This unique combination delivers deep, rich bass and midrange from the planar driver, complemented by detailed, fast treble from the balanced armatures. The result is a smooth, textured, and easy-listening sound signature with extended high-frequency response up to 30 kHz.

Key features of the Grand Luna earphones include an extremely wide frequency response of 5Hz to 30kHz, an impedance of approximately 13 Ω, and a sensitivity (SPL) of about 94 dB @ 1 kHz with 33 mVrms input. These specifications ensure efficient sound output and a listening experience that is both immersive and refined.

The Grand Luna earphones also come with a modular cable system, offering interchangeable 3.5mm, 4.4mm balanced, and USB-C DAC terminations. The built-in USB-C DAC features a Cirrus Logic CS43131 Master HiFi chip, supporting up to 32-bit/384kHz audio and DSD256 decoding for high-resolution digital audio from USB-C sources.

Each pair of Grand Luna earphones is hand-assembled in Portland, Oregon, with transparent AAOI housings, internally dyed acoustic chambers, and a brushed stainless steel faceted lid with a flame-treated logo. The earphones are housed in 3D-printed, transparent red shells, giving each pair a unique visual appeal.

The Grand Luna earphones retail at approximately $1399 USD. The premium package includes a high-purity silver and copper cable, multiple eartips (silicone, foam, and Campfire's "High & Clear" tips), a premium leather carry case, microfiber cloth, cleaning tool, and a 10-year anniversary lapel pin.

According to Ken Ball, founder and lead acoustic designer of Campfire Audio, the Grand Luna earphones offer a perfect balance of new and intriguing tuning, design, and materials, making them a must-have for true audiophiles seeking an immersive and refined in-ear listening experience. The Grand Luna earphones will be available from August 8th, 2023.
