PTZOptics ZCAM 4K Camera with Hive Integration Simplifies Video Production

The PTZOptics ZCAM 4K camera, set to debut at IBC 2024, offers a range of impressive features that make it an ideal choice for live streaming, video production, and broadcast applications. One of its standout advantages is the integration with Hive, PTZOptics' cloud-based production platform.

With the Hive-Link integration, the ZCAM 4K camera provides 4K 60fps resolution and offers optical zoom options of 12X or 20X. This seamless connection to Hive Studio enables instant camera control, real-time recording, and direct integration into modern production workflows.

The benefits of the Hive-Link integration for modern production setups are numerous. It simplifies and instantaneously connects the PTZOptics 4K cameras, including the ZCAM 4K, to Hive Studio without complex setup, reducing technical barriers for live or recorded video production.

Producers can control cameras and record footage in real time from a single platform, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency. The cloud connectivity supports remote access, making it ideal for multi-location productions, coaching, education, and sports broadcasting where control and monitoring can be handled off-site.

Hive's cloud-native capabilities allow production teams to manage cameras from anywhere in the world. The platform now supports over 400 cameras from various manufacturers, including Panasonic, SONY, Lumens, AIDA, Bird-Dog, and Canon.

The ZCAM 4K, as part of the Hive ecosystem, benefits from the platform's remote camera control, switching, and collaboration features. Along with the Move SE, Move 4K, and Link 4K, the ZCAM 4K is Hive-Linked, enabling streamlined camera control without complex setups or additional hardware.

PTZOptics has launched a public beta for Hive, allowing more users to experience its features. The public beta is currently free, and PTZOptics has decided to delay the official paid launch to offer this opportunity. The public beta is aimed at gathering additional insights to ensure the platform meets the diverse needs of its growing user base.

Hive offers features like auto-tracking, advanced PTZ control, color correction, and NDI output within a single, easily accessible platform. The integration of Hive with the PTZOptics ZCAM 4K camera enables remote camera control, switching, and collaboration features, bringing new levels of efficiency to any production.

Paul Richards, chief revenue officer at PTZOptics, stated that the ZCAM 4K addresses the increasing demand for high-resolution, compact cameras that integrate easily with cloud-based systems. With the Hive integration, the ZCAM 4K is poised to revolutionise video production, making it more agile, flexible, and professional-grade, tailored for modern hybrid and remote workflows.

The PTZOptics ZCAM 4K camera, in the upcoming IBC 2024, showcases its compatibility with AI-driven technology through Hive integration. This combination of features, events, gadgets, and technology facilitates seamless remote camera control, real-time recording, and efficient modern production workflows.

The artificial-intelligence-enhanced Hive platform, supporting over 400 cameras from several manufacturers, offers advanced capabilities like auto-tracking, color correction, and NDI output, making the ZCAM 4K camera an essential tool for future video production events.
