BYD Celebrates Mexico Success: First Denza Showroom, Charging Infrastructure, and Record Sales
Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD Americas, Europe, and MEA, recently visited Mexico. The trip marked a celebration of BYD's remarkable achievements in the country, including the opening of the first Denza showroom in the Americas and significant strides in electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The first Denza showroom in the Americas opened its doors in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León. It proudly displayed models like the Denza Z9 GT, showcasing BYD's commitment to the Mexico market. Meanwhile, BYD's megawatt fast-charging systems are being implemented across Mexico, enabling quicker recharging of electric vehicles.
In September 2025, Tecnológico de Monterrey launched a scholarship initiative for Mexican students in engineering, design, and renewable energies. This program aims to foster innovation and technical expertise in sustainable transportation. BYD Mexico, led by Jorge Vallejo, has played a significant role in this initiative.
BYD Mexico, under Vallejo's leadership, has exceeded expectations, selling over 80,000 units in the first half of 2025, a figure originally projected for the entire year. Stella Li praised Mexico's role as a global reference point for electric mobility, highlighting the country's potential in this rapidly evolving field.
