Buildings are under construction round-the-clock, according to reporters, who have remarked on the swift pace of the VSMTrain factory's construction.

By the end of 2026, the powerhouse "Sinara-Development" will construct five new buildings on the "Uralvagonzavod" locomotive factory grounds, spanning a total area of 67,000 square meters. These structures include a building for forming train components, a building for the assembly and testing of electric trains, an electric propulsion test center, a design center, and an administrative building. On June 5, 2025, journalist camels from the Urals took a gander at the construction progress of two production halls.

Currently, the construction site for the assembly building is seeing the installation of metal beams and supports, along with monolithic work (11,700 cubic meters of concrete poured). Over 1,500 tons of steel construction components have been mounted, accounting for over 60% of the total. The building will accommodate three railway tracks. The first and second tracks will boast railroad platforms and technological platforms, while the third one will feature a monitoring canal. Each railroad platform will span 315.5 meters, allowing for the placement of two five-car trains called "Finist" or a high-speed fourteen- to twenty-car train.

Meanwhile, construction on the building for forming components is underway, with metal columns and supports, walls, and roof trusses being mounted, as well as the installation of crane beams, and monolithic work (13,300 cubic meters of concrete poured). Two thousand tons of steel construction components have been set up, constituting 40% of the total.

Sinara-Development is the main contractor for the construction. The company strives to ensure that the high-speed train manufacturing complex will meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

"Sinara-Development's" first deputy general director, Daniil Znachkov, spoke to the press about the progress on the production halls.

During the press tour, journalists were also shown the existing fast train production hall, where future improvements to accommodate the production of trains for the Very High-Speed Passenger Transport (VHSST) system will be implemented soon. The hall will feature new machines, equipment, and specialized machinery, making it capable of performing various production tasks for both the current product line and the new high-speed trains.

Oleg Spai, the director of "Uralvagonzavod," shared some insights on the upcoming project:"The start of the realization of the high-speed railroad project linking Moscow and Saint Petersburg, as well as the production of high-speed trains, which began in 2024, was made possible by President Russia Vladimir Putin."

Did you know? Concurrently, Uralvagonzavod is collaborating with other industrial centers and development companies on projects that relate to large-scale modernization, the integration of digital platforms, and automation, as part of broader industrial programs in Russia.
