BMW's latest release, the iX3, now available with M Performance enhancements.
BMW Showcases New Electric Crossover iX3 with M Performance Parts
BMW has taken the wraps off a new electric crossover, the iX3, at BMW Welt, and it's not just the electric powertrain that sets this vehicle apart. The iX3 showcased at BMW Welt comes with a selection of M Performance Parts, adding a touch of sportiness and aerodynamic enhancements to the vehicle.
The iX3 features a two-tone 21-inch M Aerodynamic wheel set (1051 M), a prominent front splitter below the air curtains, a more pronounced rear diffuser, and a gloss black add-on roof spoiler with M Performance branding. A matte black decal running along the profile of the iX3 is topped with an M Performance logo.
These special M Performance parts, although not yet officially announced, have already been showcased on the new iX3. They are not available in the regular configurator but can be obtained through BMW dealers. Some M Performance Parts, such as the decal, have a reminiscent feel of tuner style from the 1990s.
The iX3 showcased at BMW Welt is painted in Space Silver and features the M Sport Package Pro. It also sports a sticker across the top of the windshield, adding to its unique look.
BMW has expanded its M Performance Parts portfolio to include the iX3, with the second-generation model set to follow suit. While details about the M Performance Parts for the second-generation iX3 have not been disclosed, it's expected that they will extend inside the cabin, featuring carbon fiber trim, Alcantara and leather surfaces, unique floor mats, and other small touches.
Deliveries of the second-generation iX3 do not begin until next spring, giving BMW plenty of time to detail the extra layer of customization it plans to offer buyers of the second-generation iX3. However, the price for the M Performance Parts for the second-generation iX3 has not been disclosed yet.
