BJEV's December Sales Surge 304.8% Despite Production Dip
BJEV, a leading Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has reported a significant surge in sales for December 2021. The company's sales figures indicate a remarkable turnaround from the previous year.
BJEV's December 2021 sales soared by an impressive 304.8% compared to the same month in 2020, with a total of 4,198 units delivered. This figure marked the highest single-month delivery for the company in the year. However, it is important to note that BJEV's full-year production in 2021 was down by 51.8% from the previous year, with a total of 6,369 units produced.
Despite the dip in production, BJEV's sales for the full year 2021 increased by 0.82% from 2020, with a total of 26,127 units sold. This growth was driven by a 70% increase in sales from November to December 2021. However, it is worth mentioning that BJEV's 2021 sales were equivalent to just two months of sales for leading EV startups.
BJEV's December 2021 sales surge indicates a positive trend for the company, despite a decrease in overall production. The company's focus on pure electric vehicles has been a key factor in its success, with BJEV being the No. 1 seller of pure electric vehicles in China for seven consecutive years from 2013 to 2019. Meanwhile, Arcfox, a brand of BAIC BluePark, also reported a significant increase in sales, with a 696% year-on-year growth in December 2021. As the EV market continues to grow, BJEV's ability to adapt and innovate will be crucial in maintaining its competitive edge.
