Bitfinex Boosts Stablecoin Offerings with USDT0 on Plasma
Bitfinex has bolstered its stablecoin offerings by integrating USDT0 with Plasma, further cementing its reputation in the global stablecoin economy.
Plasma, renowned for its scalability and focus on stablecoin payments, operates on the PlasmaBFT architecture. This integration allows Bitfinex users to convert their USDt balances into USDT0 and transfer them seamlessly to multiple supported blockchains, fostering cross-chain financial activities.
USDT0, an omnichain-ready version of Tether's USDt, simplifies stablecoin transfers across multiple blockchain ecosystems. Anoush Bhasin, Bitfinex's Head of Listings, highlighted the platform's commitment to scalability and efficiency in stablecoin transactions through this integration.
Bitfinex has introduced Plasma integration for USDT0, enhancing its flexibility and accessibility. Users can now deposit and withdraw USDT0 on the Plasma network, with support starting from September 26, 2025. While specific details about further integrations are yet to be announced, USDT0's use of LayerZero's OFT standard for cross-chain transfers hints at potential support across multiple chains.
