Autel Energy Launches First US EV+BESS Solution

Autel Energy has inaugurated its first integrated Electric Vehicle (EV) charging and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in the US, at its Greensboro, North Carolina manufacturing facility. This marks a significant step for the company, demonstrating the potential of combined EV charging and battery storage solutions.

The installation comprises a 250 kWh battery cabinet coupled with a 125 kW power conversion system, supporting one Autel MaxiCharger DC Fast and two DC Compact charging units. Michelle Luo, Chief Revenue Officer of Autel Energy North America, hailed this as the first utility-approved EV+BESS project, showcasing the viability of integrated solutions.

Autel's scalable offerings cater to diverse needs, ranging from 250 kWh to multi-MWh deployments. The modular architecture allows expansion with additional chargers, storage, and renewable generation. By the year's end, Autel Energy aims to complete several more EV+BESS projects for customers, including commercial fleet operators, utility companies, and renewable energy project developers.

Autel Energy's integrated EV+BESS solutions, certified by UL 9540A and aligning with North American interconnection requirements, promise reduced energy costs and grid stability through peak shaving, load shifting, and demand-charge management. The company's end-to-end project services, from site modeling to commissioning and monitoring, ensure a seamless experience for customers.
