Audio solutions provider Calrec set to showcase an array of interconnected audio solutions at IBC2025 conference.

Calrec, a leading audio solutions provider, is set to showcase new usability, customisation, and system enhancements across its entire range of Argo consoles at IBC2025 1. The exhibition, taking place from September 12-15 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center, will feature the Argo M platform, Argo S console, and more 2.

The Argo M platform, a high-performance, plug-and-play control surface, comes with up to 356 channels of internal DSP, built-in analogue and digital audio I/O, and GPIO for flexible interfacing 3. It also boasts three modular I/O expansion slots, allowing for further customization and scalability, and a MADI I/O port supporting high channel count connectivity 4.

The Argo S console, while details about specific hardware are less emphasized, benefits from the updated Argo software, which brings significant workflow and control improvements across the console range 1.

In addition to hardware updates, Calrec will preview a new software update for its Argo consoles at IBC 2025. The latest iteration of True Control 2.0 will provide bi-directional control and connectivity throughout the stand, facilitating any combination of distributed production workflows and a deep level of remote control 5.

True Control 2.0 allows broadcasters to scale their production ecosystems quickly to meet changing production requirements, and it improves NMOS Control, status updates, and monitoring, interfacing with Calrec Connect 6. A single True Control 2.0 controller can access up to five other consoles or processing cores at the same time.

Calrec will demonstrate its 48-fader Argo S console paired with an ImPulse DSP core. The new v1.4 Argo software introduces enhanced routing strip functionality, allowing users to see every fader’s routing simultaneously on the touch screen, and enables Argo Q to support two sets of custom wild panels per section 7.

At the event, Calrec will present a live ecosystem of interconnected products, including multiple Argo consoles, Type R mixing system, ImPulse processing core, and ImPulseV virtualized cloud audio mixing engine 8. More information about Calrec can be found on the company's website.
