Apple's Mumbai-based branch, known as BKC, will welcome customers on Tuesday.

Apple is set to open its first retail store in India, located in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The store, named Apple BKC, is scheduled to open its doors to customers on Tuesday, April 18, at 11 a.m. IST. Today, Apple BKC is designed to be one of the most energy-efficient Apple Store locations in the world. It boasts a dedicated solar array and operates entirely without reliance on fossil fuels, making it a significant stride towards sustainability. The store runs on 100 percent renewable energy and is operationally carbon neutral. The store spans over 22,000 square feet and features a triangular handcrafted timber ceiling, stone walls sourced from Rajasthan, and a striking 14-meter-long stainless steel staircase. Apple BKC offers a wide range of products, including the latest iPhone, Mac, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and accessories like AirTag. The store also houses the Apple Trade In program, allowing customers to trade in their old devices for credit towards a new purchase. To enhance the customer experience, Apple BKC offers Apple Pickup, allowing customers to place orders online and pick up products when it's convenient for them. Additionally, customers can download interactive custom wallpapers, listen to a curated Apple Music BKC Playlist, and sign up for upcoming Today at Apple sessions. Today at Apple sessions are a series of interactive workshops designed to educate and inspire. At Apple BKC, these sessions will feature local artists and creatives, with a special series called 'Mumbai Rising' that includes Music Lab with Sandunes, Photo Lab with Prarthna Singh, Design Lab with Boomranng Studio, and Art Lab with Kohla. Apple BKC has a team of over 100 employees ready to provide exceptional service. The team collectively speaks over 20 languages, ensuring they can assist customers from around the world.
