This resurgence of the Pebble brand is made possible due to Google generously open-sourcing PebbleOS. This means you can tinker around with PebbleOS on GitHub or even breathe new life into your old, functioning Pebble watches if you join the beta test.
To take part in the beta test, simply sign up using your old, functioning Pebble Time (Steel/Round) or Pebble 2 watch. But remember, the project is only for those willing to provide detailed feedback without seeking public criticism.
For those who've pre-ordered the Core 2 Duo, expect an email confirmation this month to finalize the shipping details, including providing a shipping address and "paying duties/tariffs/taxes" according to your country's regulations. The Pebble comeback seems to be shaping up nicely!
