AI company Source successfully secures $2.1 million investment from Australian backers
In the bustling tech scene of Dublin, a 18-year-old entrepreneur named Liam Fuller is making waves with his innovative startup, Source. Formerly known as QuickFind AI, Source has recently secured a pre-seed funding of USD$1.4 million, setting the stage for its growth in the retail procurement sector.
Fuller, who previously founded CartShare, a Shopify plugin, honed his entrepreneurial skills through the 7-week Patch accelerator in Dublin. This experience equipped him with a 'move-fast' startup mentality, supported by OpenAI, Dublin DogPatch startup hub, and Stripe.
The idea for Source was born out of Fuller's observation of an inefficiency in the way retailers manage procurement. Compared to consumer ordering platforms like Amazon, retailers often rely on outdated systems like Excel and legacy ERPs to handle tens of thousands of SKUs and millions in spend. Recognising this operational challenge, Fuller decided to create a frictionless AI layer that automates and optimizes stock procurement.
Fuller partnered with Yoan Gabison, a Paris-based engineer specializing in large language models, as co-founder and CTO. Together, they focus on building Source’s AI-driven solution that continuously improves decision-making for retail procurement teams. Any team member can prompt QuickFind AI with natural language, and its AI agents handle the rest, simplifying retail procurement by ingesting unstructured data and transforming it into a clean, 1-click ordering dashboard.
The pre-seed investors, including Ten13 VC and Aussie angels, have faith in Fuller as a founder and see immense opportunity in the sector that QuickFind/Source is innovating in. Notably, Fuller has already caught the attention of Australian investors, with Paul Bassat, founder of Square Peg, expressing excitement about Fuller's ability to navigate and adapt as the business evolves.
Brendan Hill, a partner at Early Stage VC TEN13, sees Fuller not just building another 'AI tool', but fundamentally reimagining how Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs) buy things. This vision aligns with Fuller and Gabison's mission to revolutionize retail procurement and tackle a $1 trillion market gap.
With the recent funding, Fuller plans to relocate to Silicon Valley to continue pushing the mission of Source, launch US pilots of the technology, and tap into the accelerated growth that many startups are experiencing by integrating Agentic AI. The future of retail procurement is looking bright with Source leading the charge.
