Accacia Secures $6.5M for AI-Driven Real Estate Decarbonization

Singapore-based Accacia, a decarbonization platform for real estate and infrastructure, has secured $6.5 million in pre-Series A funding. The round, which closed in April 2024, was led by Illuminate Financial and supported by AC Ventures, Accel, and B Capital. The company's AI-enabled SaaS platform helps real estate asset managers track emissions and design decarbonization strategies.

Founded in 2022 by Annu Talreja, Piyush Chitkara, and Jagmohan Garg, Accacia enables real estate asset managers to measure and benchmark transitional risks on their portfolios. The platform suggests tailored decarbonization strategies at both the asset and portfolio levels. It integrates seamlessly with existing property and energy management systems, providing real-time data tracking.

Piyush Chitkara, a co-founder of Accacia, played a significant role in the recent funding round. The company aims to accelerate its growth and expand its offerings in the real estate and infrastructure sectors.

Accacia's successful funding round, led by Illuminate Financial, underscores the growing demand for innovative solutions to tackle greenhouse gas emissions in real estate and infrastructure. The company's AI-driven platform empowers real estate asset managers to track emissions effectively and design strategic decarbonization plans, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable future.
