Spicing Up the Status Quo: A Unique Union by Ukrainian Enterprises

Stepping out of the norm, Ukrainian businesses are making headlines with unprecedented acts of support for their nation. The Slots City Foundation, an entertainment powerhouse, is diving headfirst into the military's aid, joining forces to mend damaged military drones. In the past, this foundation has shown its backing by acquiring drones and sponsoring military training in drone operations at the UAV School.

It's a common spectacle for many Ukrainian companies to blend their corporate duties with military support. However, this unusual blend, particularly in the gaming industry, is truly captivating. As we advance in today's tech-savvy world, the gaming sector provides yet another platform for military assistance.

While operators of chance, the nation as a whole, and Slots City Foundation, are tirelessly pooling resources, including drones, we haven't encountered many notable repair initiatives yet. Given the price tags on these high-tech devices, repairing the malfunctioning yet still intact crew seemed like a smart move. This is the collaborative effort between Slots City Foundation and the charitable foundation VOL.

The initially repaired drones under this partnership include DJI Mavic 3 and DJI Matrice models of various configurations. The project's instigators will cover the repair costs.

Artem Stogniy, Director of Slots City Foundation, expressed: "Today, repairing drones is a cost-effective solution compared to purchasing new UAVs for the front lines, as it saves the lives of our defenders. Our foundation has been purchasing new drones and subsidizing free military drone training for over a year, and this project expands on that."

The project's financial sensibility is self-explanatory: a DJI Mavic 3 costs approximately $2500-2700, while DJI Matrice models set individuals back anywhere from $5000 to $25,000, depending on their customizations. Thus, instead of disposing of valuable devices after damage, repair seems like the smarter choice.

VOL — an acronym for Vector Optical Laboratory — was previously known for mending thermal imagers and night vision devices. Igor Fedirko, VOL's founder, stated: "This project was born out of necessity. It's no secret that the military uses any available drones. Despite the cost of DJI drones, they have become practically replaceable in our battle. Our goal is to lower these expenses for the military and increase the number of operational drones on the front, thereby boosting our chances of winning the war."

Expanding the Scope Beyond Repairs

This collaboration between Slots City Foundation and VOL will not stop at repairs; they will also offer specialized drone tuning services. As the project progresses, the scope of repairable drone models and the variety of accompanying services will broaden.
