A 73-year-old man from Hamm has fallen victim to an internet cryptocurrency scam. The victim, a 73-year-old man, invested a substantial amount in the mid-five-figure range after being lured by a website found on Facebook.
The man transferred the funds to Malta, where the website was based. He only realised the deception after consulting with a lawyer and reviewing the documents. Despite extensive searches, the name of the head of the Polizeidirektion Hamm related to this case remains unknown.
The 73-year-old man from Hamm has suffered significant financial loss due to an internet cryptocurrency scam. Authorities are investigating the case, but the identity of the key police official involved remains unclear.
